We resurrected this site because we didn't want the years of work by Gloria Crumpler Vester and her fellow Crumpler researchers simply to be lost. Nobody has maintained it for a very long time, so many of its links no longer work — and we know. As time permits we'll go through it and tidy the broken links; volunteers are very welcome.

These are my grandparents.  These pictures were taken sometime around 1923.   As far as I know, these are the only pictures in existence of Floyd Sr. and Maggie.   My dad, Floyd Jr., had these pictures in his possession and used to show them to me when I was a little girl.  Floyd Sr. was the son of Fleet Sam Crumpler of NC and Emma Catherine Minus of SC.  Maggie was the daughter of William McCarty and Ida Richardson, of SC.  Anyone who has information on them, please let me know.

Our Last Family Reunion - less than one week before my Daddy died, July 4th weekend 1981 at Mt. Mitchell, NC, Daddy's favorite place in the world.
