We resurrected this site because we didn't want the years of work by Gloria Crumpler Vester and her fellow Crumpler researchers simply to be lost. Nobody has maintained it for a very long time, so many of its links no longer work — and we know. As time permits we'll go through it and tidy the broken links; volunteers are very welcome.
All of the family information has been carried over to our family history site, including a separate tree for Gloria's own database: Gloria Crumpler Vester's Crumpler Database · The Lucies Family History Site.
Please take the site for what it is: a slice of history, from the days of the rotary telephone, the daily newspaper and polite politics. — HMDP

Below is a list of people buried in the Fayetteville Lafayette Memorial Cemetery. I am still adding to this list at the present time. This cemetery has all the markers flat on the ground and the office will not give assistance without a $5.00 charge per person to give you the location of the grave. So I am walking off sections every time I make a trip to visit my parents.
